Hello Lovelies!

I want to keep my introduction post short and sweet. normally I would chat with you taking turns trauma dumping (or trauma bonding) and we’d have a wondrous laugh. But for now, I’ll just keep it simple with saying hello and welcome to Get A Grippel!

I want you to know that writing has been, and most likely will always be, a significant part of my life. Ever since Mrs. Grabo’s 4th grade class when she unexpectedly chose a piece I wrote to read aloud to the class, saying it was a great example of storytelling, dialogue, and raw emotion. (I wrote about feeling left out a a slumber party.) Luckily my writing has elevated beyond slumber party journal entries–these days you can find me tucked away in some corner of the local coffee shop, typing away on my laptop as my brain regurgitates ideas out onto the pages.

There you’ll find that my posts featured on my Portfolio are actually separated by “Freelance Work,” “Life Stories,” and “Short Stories.” (I think we all know the latter is a figment of my imaginations, but in case you’re not sure–this is your clarification.) Keep in mind I may be a writer at heart but I am in no way a trustworthy editor, so grammar patrol proceed with caution.
